HSSMI has launched a Graduate Programme, targetted at new engineers looking to enter the world of manufacturing. The two year long Graduate Programme will provide opportunities to graduates to learn and develop their skills by working on various projects.

HSSMI has today announced confirmed investment to fund continued growth of its consultancy services division, supporting companies to transition towards net zero and sustainable manufacturing, as well as the launch of the HSSMI Foundation to support future engineers in sustainable manufacturing.

A trailblazing circular economy project to advance the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) has secured a finalist place at the global Energy Institute 2021 Awards, and HSSMI has been praised for contributing to the project’s success.

Our work in accelerating the development and scale up of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) has been recognised and named runner-up at the Make UK Manufacturing Awards for the Midlands and East of England region in the Energy and Sustainability Category.

We are delighted to announce that Ray Mills will join the HSSMI team in January 2021 on a part time basis as Technical Specialist in Manufacturing Strategy. Ray brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the automotive sector, having worked for over 40 years across major OEMS.

Circular economy is one of the three pillars that underpin the work we do at HSSMI and has naturally led to an initiative to identify our carbon footprint and achieve Net Zero. Our first Net Zero report represents an exciting next step in our journey towards increased sustainability and resilience.
